move on
This has been a rough week for me personally on my goals. I'll be going in very soon for the verdict of how rough it was.

And you are not it
Today. I lost another 5.5lb when I weighed in. But tonight I probably gained it all back. I'm babysitting later and I have to work at Subway in the morning, BUT! I will kick my ass tomorrow. IT WILL BE KICKED SO HARD. Anyways, just thought I'd share.

tough one.
Today was tough. All I wanted was sugar and carbs. I almost went to dunkin to get a small iced coffee. I almost had a scoop of ice cream (which I would have done except I had a tiny ice cream a few days ago…I need to wait AT LEAST a week). I almost did this, I almost did that. But I didn't. Instead I tried drinking water, chewing gum, taking a nap. I also had a pocket thin thing and put some peanut butter and apple on it and stuck it in the oven for a few minutes. That was good. But I didn't give in when I could've. I'm pretty proud of myself for that.
I used my new medicine ball and stepper thing today too for my workout. I did a total of about 50 minutes today which was good and I felt great. Eventually, I wanna go a week without bread…but that's not today;)
Side note---is it bad to have too many apples? I had three (small) ones today.

Weigh in #2
First, I didn't write anything yesterday--but when you work 6-2:15 at one job, and then 315-530 at the other with an hour and a half workout--things get kind of hectic.
But. This morning I woke up--used the bathroom and went into work just for my weigh in. I didn't eat. I didn't drink.
Apparently, I lost 5.5lb. I hope that is true! I still get this feeling that when I go in next week, nothing will be different. Or worse…I'll weigh more.
Here are some things I plan on doing differently this week:
Exercise more. Legitimate exercise. Not running around with kids (which I'll still do). But putting in a workout dvd or stair stepping. Or kettle ball workouts (which I am growing to LOVE). I'm going to push myself a little harder. Also, I am NOT going to go to Apple bee's. Or any other restaurant for that matter unless I am willing and prepared to try something new--something on their 'watching your weight' menus or whatever.
Have a great day!

Don't follow the crowd
Today, my first day back to work since initial weigh in was interesting. Some people had already started weighing themselves and seeing that they lost so much weight. But I feel like this is a slow and study type of thing. The first week you cut soda from you diet is going to change your body and it's reaction. But, sometimes the next week--once the body is used to it it will maintain--right? Maybe I'm wrong here, but I'd rather lose 1-3lbs a week instead of 15 one week and gain a pound the next. Whatever. Either way, everybody is talking about this huge diet change/plan. And I'm trying to stick to what I normally eat--but in a healthier way. I have been using half a piece of pepperjack cheese instead of a full piece. Maybe that'll change things--maybe it won't. But as everyone says, 'MODERATION' right?
Sorry I don't have anything philosophical to say. I just want to write down what I am thinking, what I am doing.
But today I watched an episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch while stepping and using weight to have more of a full body workout. Tomorrow, I am going to try to use the elliptical. Especially since I am going out for breakfast, but it will be at a place where I can 'make' my own omelette.

before.
Here is my before pic. I probably would never post something like this, but here goes. I'm thinking at the beginning of every month I'll post another picture. Jeez. What am I doing?
Pardon my messy room. Hot damn.

The easiest workout is the funnest
Yesterday I babysat four kids. One was a baby, but the other three are very active. Although the weather was awful, I allowed--for a little bit, some wrestling and jumping around etc. That was definitely a workout, but it didn't really FEEL like one. The kids had a blast too so it was a win-win.
Also--just to keep updated, I have started using myfitnesspal.com to help me keep track of everything. While I keep reading about everyone else's struggles, I think my biggest struggle is that I am drinking so much water and I have to pee every ten minutes, which also means I have to wash my hands every ten minutes which means my hands are super cracked and there is almost no way to heel them I feel like.
So far today (also crappy, terrible weather) I have done a few kettle ball exercises that I found online and really enjoy. It gets my heart rate going and my arms burning. It's wonderful. I've been eating healthy and trying to get at least 10-15 minutes of exercise in when I can't go to the gym. WHICH IS A MAJOR STRUGGLE.

Days 1&2 of biggest loser
Day 1-Friday-I was weighed around 7:30 am at 231lb. The most I have ever been in my life (only by three pounds though). But, thankfully, I was working with kids that day. Which meant, I did a lot of jump rope and a lot of jumping and running around. It was nice that I could do activities and still have fun. I had a salad for lunch with honey mustard and turkey and ham and bacon. It was pretty good. Next time I'll just get turkey though. After working I had to go work at Subway-which means standing on my feet for a very, very long period of time.
Yesterday (day2), after staying up late because of work, I woke up around 8:45 (still got my 8 hours of sleep). I went downstairs and my dad had already made breakfast. Of course, it was biscuits and gravy--one of my favorites. So, I took only one biscuit and a little scoop of gravy. Then I cut up some strawberries to help me fill up a little more and to add fruit. It's okay to have what you still like--just smaller portions, right? So anyways, I went upstairs and got into workout clothes and did about 10-15 minutes of a kettle ball workout. Man, that worked my arms. But it was okay, because I felt great afterwards. I went out to lunch with a friend and my sister. I got a chef salad there with fried avocado and salsa. It was pretty good. I liked the avocado the best, and I wasn't to try actual avocado, but sometimes it's hard to tell what good avocado is. Anyways, I went home and relaxed before heading of to work at Subway for 8.5 hours. It's hard because there were freshly baked cookies. But, it's okay. I only had one and I plan on having none today. We'll see how that goes.
Have a great day and happy new year. It's going to be a good one, I'm sure!

Biggest Loser
Tomorrow starts a competition that is happening at my place of work. Tomorrow starts our version of The Biggest Loser. In my last post, I was 215. Now I am up to 230. I am determined to be under 200 pounds by the end of the year, but to be a solid 210lb by the end of the the three month competition. I know that it sounds like this is a resolution, and perhaps it is. But it is more than my weight. I want to run with the kids I work with and not get tired after two minutes of basketball. I don't want my knees and hips to hurt either. I want to be fit. I want to be able to run a 5K by May. I'm hoping by participating in this competition, (where I could also win some mula) that I become happier with who I am. Even if I only weigh 220lb by the end of it. Hopefully, I'll be good and actually keep up with this blog. I'll let you know what my official weigh in will be tomorrow.
Have a great night.
